Background
Ignyt was formed in 2000 by some smart, experienced
people who have enjoyed working together in the past and who
wanted to devote their collective knowledge, skills and experience
to working out solutions to challenging problems for clients.
Our primary objective is to help clients identify new opportunities
for significant growth, and to act on them effectively, thereby
creating measurable value for their firm, employees and investors
as well as for Ignyt.
To that end, we have assembled a team
with demonstrable professional background in strategy, finance,
sales, marketing and product management. These are the key skills required for successful
implementation of growth plans. Should a client require
other specialist expertise, we will endeavour to assist by referring
one of our business partners or qualified 3rd party experts.
In addition to general business and technology
intelligence, our team members keep abreast of new research
in some fairly specialized fields with business applications:
econometrics, decision analysis, option pricing, neural nets,
fraud investigation techniques for example. Several of us also have deep software
and hardware development experience. We take the intellectual
credibility of our work very seriously, and endeavour to apply
our research knowledge wherever possible to benefit our clients.
But we take great care to keep it in the background.
We believe that a multi-disciplinary
approach is of great value to our clients. Typically, a client engagement is the direct
responsiblility of one member of our senior staff. But all clients
have direct access any team member at any time. Initial
planning for the engagement is carried out by the senior staff
team and the engagement leader continues to receive their advice
in our weekly review meetings.
