What is the EDA?
Ignyt’s Enterprise Diagnostic Assessment (EDA) is a brief, high intensity engagement much like a focused investor due diligence process. Its deliverables are:
- a clear evaluation of the company’s strengths and weaknesses from an investor’s perspective,
- an “economic model” of the business, focussing on key levers for growth,
- a “report card” assessment of how close the company is to maximizing its current potential, and
- a shortlist of immediate action items to improve market value and open new avenues for growth.
Business Rationale
Mid-tier companies often find it very difficult to break through to a new growth plateau. Management is usually tightly focused on day-to-day operations and often unintentionally finds itself overcommitted to a business model with limited scalability. As a rule, there is no organized process for gathering and acting on information about direct competitors or emerging market trends.
Financing for a significant acquisition, or even major new product development will likely come from outside sources. Yet owners rarely have a realistic appreciation of the value of their company on the open market or of practical ways to improve that value.
Whether you want to grow your business dramatically, need additional funding, are considering a strategic acquisition, or deciding whether now is the right time to divest, Ignyt's EDA will give you a realistic, quantitative assessment of your options quickly, independently and affordably.
Ignyt uses its experience in private equity markets to provide a professional investor’s view of the client company’s strengths, weaknesses and potential. On that basis, we assist management to focus on high value strategic activities to improve performance and returns.
